Africa has the youngest population worldwide. However, the continent continues to face the challenge of access to opportunities. Addressing the critical gap in access to opportunities, Sola Adeyinka  Chief Executive Officer of   Coralstone Capital and his wife – Dr, Ibukun Adeyinka launched the Sola & Ibukun Adeyinka (SIA) Foundation, an empowerment platform that democratises opportunities, enabling less privileged individuals especially youths, women and children to have an equitable chance at achieving greatness. The Launch which took place at the Federal Palace Hotel on the 21st of January 2024, was attended by distinguished executives from diverse economic sectors.

According to the Chairman of SIA Foundation, Sola Adeyinka, ‘’Our mission is to make opportunities accessible for women, children, and youths in Africa. Africa and Africans are faced with the challenges of actualizing their dreams. While a good number of Africans have been able to do great things, collectively we have not been able to master shared posterity because the opportunities available to a few are not available to a majority. This is what the SIA Foundation was created for, actualising each African dream one by one, a step at a time. Our programs are designed to create more jobs through entrepreneurship, more value through education, and equality through women empowerment while also promoting a just environment. We are confident that the SIA foundation is the bridge that will shape a prosperous tomorrow for Africa and Africans in general.’’

Olumide Balogun, Director, Google Nigeria, Temilola Adepetu, Managing Director, SKLD Integrated Services and  Gbenga Omololokun – Managing Director, V-Bank, while speaking during a panel session at the launch of the foundation, all reiterated the importance of collective effort required by all stakeholders to ensure that African can quickly take advantage of its potentials.

The SIA Foundation employs a comprehensive approach aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs with essential skills and capital, improving economic opportunities for women, ensuring quality education, and cultivating an empathetic environment, especially in the workplace. The foundation’s initiatives are proving transformative, fueling its mission with success stories of resilience and hope.

The Foundation, rooted in Africa’s robust entrepreneurial ethos, facilitates startup growth through funding and resource provision via its SIA Startup Foundry incubator program.

Through trainings, masterclasses, networking opportunities and workshops, the SIA Foundation is committed to democratizing opportunities, particularly for women, children, and youth in Africa. Individuals and businesses can visit the website here for more information.
